It's so easy to get around with rolling hills to the east and beaches to the west combined with the spectacular journeys you can take from there. With a population of just over a one million, Adelaide is the “20 minute city” with the airport only seven kilometres from the city. The Adelaide Hills and major beaches are less than half an hour away by car. From Adelaide, you can take the Ghan train trip to tropical Darwin, taking in whistle stop tours of Alice Springs and Katherine or drive the same route along the historic Explorers Highway.
